A new Tuscan wine growing frontier, this area extends into the centre of the Grosseto Maremma, dividing the sea from the metalliferous hills.

Like many mines and quarries of the zone, the area boasts origins of important geological phenomena.

Today the zone has been converted to agriculture, and in particular to wine growing, the result of a pioneering influx of important Italian producers. The microclimate and the agronomic characteristics give this area ideal conditions for wine production.
