Acquired in 1999 by Prince Strozzi the Estate of Le Pavoniere boards the famous  Bolgherese Road which links the Bolgheri area with the capital Castagneto Carducci.  It is devoted to specialised new plantations of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and other experimental varieties.

In setting up the most recent vines an attempt has been made to maintain the traditional style of the place, seeking to reproduce faithfully the cultivating technique which plans rows of vines alternating with age-old olive trees.

The new vinification cellar, based on the plans of the architect Spartaco Mori, will follow closely the forms of the ancient Etruscan constructions, with stones, roundish lines and by an enriching presence of crystal so as to confirm the strong historical link with its area of origin.
