One of the factors of the high quality of wines produced at Bolgheri is without doubt the happy union between the climate and the land.

The microclimate benefits from the nearness of the sea which with its breezes mitigates the effects of the summer heat and the severities of the winter; the lands are instead alluvial through contact with various types of subsoil passing in fact from fine, rich clays to deep sandy strata. Such diversity in this zone of the North Maremma permits the cultivation of complex vines different from one another.

The Strozzi family estate is situated on the Bolgheri Road in the centre of the area of production of DOC wines.
